Eric was the first-born son of Angelica and James Payne. He was born on July 5, 1982, in Ventura, CA and raised in Oxnard, CA. He was the first-born grandson on his mother side (Guerrero) and the fourth-born grandson on his father side (Payne).
Eric was a fun loving happy person who loved to cook, bake, go camping and play poker with his friends and family. Eric was never afraid to be himself, always showing people his sense of humor and zest for life. He was kind and patient and always willing to listen with open arms. He had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up a room; and always made it known how much he loved his friends and family, never hesitating to say “I love you.”
Eric was unbelievably smart and had a knack for computers and numbers. He graduated from Oxnard High School in 2000, continuing on to graduate from Oxnard College with a AA/AS degree in computer science. He later became employed by the Oxnard School District as a computer technician, where he was given the opportunity to teach kids about the joy of computers.
Eric will be deeply missed by his surviving parents Angelica and James Payne, brother Thomas Payne, grandmother Guillermina Calderon, and by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Services for Eric will be held on Friday, November 16th at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1150 Gary Drive Oxnard, Ca 93033).
