Willy was born in Matagalpa, Nicaragua to Billy Peter and Antonia Brandt on August 11, 1934.

Willy emigrated to New Jersey at a very young age. Spanning the next 50 years, Willy built a successful career in the fashion/textile industry and excelled in sales. He had a strong entrepreneurial spirit and started several businesses in various industries in NY/NJ and Florida. He was a community leader and started a Philanthropic Social Club and Softball league that still continues today in NYC. He filled his non- working time with family and friends, enjoying nothing more than spending time with his wife, siblings, children, friends and coworkers. Willy loved to socialize, entertain, travel, and watching his favorite team, the NY Mets. He and his wife, Elena, primarily resided in Jersey City and Secaucus with a few years in Davie, Florida before returning to Secaucus NJ in 1992 where they remained until moving to West Hills CA in 2012.

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather will be deeply missed. He will forever be engrained in our hearts.

“Grief never ends… But it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith…. It is the price of love.” Elizabeth I

Willy is survived by his wife Elena Brandt of West Hills CA, and children Bill, Walter, Sharon, Joseph, Ana, Kenneth, Ligia, & Erwin James. He leaves behind 11 beautiful grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
