Obituary of LeeAnne Vasquez
Please share a memory of LeeAnne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, LeeAnne Vasquez. LeeAnne was born on November 16, 1946, and departed this world on October 22, 2023.
At 5 foot two and eyes of blue, LeeAnne was a pillar of kindness, spontaneity, and unwavering love. She was the center of her family and friends, enveloping all who knew her with an affection that knew no bounds.
LeeAnne was a devoted Mom and Nina to her three children and six grandchildren. She was adored by her husband Ralph of almost 57 years. Their marriage was a testament to love’s enduring power and the beauty of a lifelong commitment. Together, they created a tapestry of shared memories, passion, laughter, family, and unconditional support.
LeeAnne enjoyed her sweet rescue doggies, cooking, gardening, camping, theater, holidays, and about any opportunity to celebrate life all year long! LeeAnne was the conductor of her cohesive friend-family orchestra. With her came joy, happiness, and light wherever she went. Her friendships were not just lifelong; they were lifelines, connecting her to a world that loved her fiercely. Her open-mindedness and true liberal spirit embraced diversity and change. She treasured living in California, its beaches, sunsets, and the deep friendships she cultivated there.
Rest in peace, dear LeeAnne, our brightest star. In your absence, the world feels a little dimmer, a little quieter. Your legacy of loyalty, resilience, and inspiration will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing you. You will be remembered for the way you lived - a life filled with family, music, friendship, laughter, and love.
LeeAnne is survived by her husband Ralph Vasquez; her children Nichole Andonegui from Falls Church, VA, Blair Fields from Simi Valley, CA and Brandon Vasquez from Moorpark, CA; her grandchildren Ashton Fields, Evan Fields, Mia Andonegui, Zoe Andonegui, Victoria Vasquez, and Olivia Vasquez; and siblings, Arthur McLendon III, Connie Brown, and Gary Kent. LeeAnne was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie Kent of Tampa, FL.
A memorial service to come together to remember and celebrate LeeAnne’s life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran Street, in Simi Valley at 10:00am (please arrive by 9:30am). Those whole lives she touched are invited to attend and pay their respects and share time with family. A lunch reception will follow at 3434 Whispering Glen Ct., Simi Valley. For planning purposes, the family requests an RSVP (name and count) via text to 571-331-1015. Again, everyone is welcome. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation in her honor to Simi Valley Missing Pets or the Alzheimer’s Association California Central Coast Chapter. These two organizations had a profound impact on both Ralph and LeeAnne’s lives.
