Obituary of Diane Claire Plourde

Diane Claire Plourde was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world on November 2, 2022 at the age of 73 surrounded by loved ones after a valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Diane was born on June 7, 1949 in Los Angeles to the late Louis and Lorraine Plourde. She was one of eight siblings. She was the proud older sister and loved coming from a large family. She grew up and lived in Sunland, CA until her passing. 

Diane spent her career working in Human Resources for the Financial Industry. Spending the majority of her career at Community Bank and East West Bank both in Pasadena up until her retirement. She had a passion for assisting others and giving guidance when and where she could. Diane was an exceptional mother and her children’s biggest cheerleader. She never missed a game or performance. Diane spent her final years caring and loving on her pride and joy, her Granddaughter's Raegan and Josephine. 

Diane enjoyed sewing, crafting and painting - making many of Jennifer and Joey’s Halloween costumes over the years, countless wedding and formal dresses and most of Jennifer and Melissa’s matching wardrobes as children. Diane had a love for Disney and could be found at Disneyland with her daughter on most weekends. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Ligon, son and daughter in law, Joseph and Lindsay Ligon and granddaughters Reagan and Josephine. Sisters: Denise (Larry) Lewis and Elaine (Lee) Johnson Brothers: Richard (Pam) Plourde, Don (Sabrina) Plourde and David (Emily) Plourde and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents: Louis and Lorraine, Sister: Patti Crawford and Brother: Louis (GeorgeAnn) Plourde.

A funeral service is scheduled at 10am on Monday, November 21, 2022 at:
