Obituary of Mary Isabel Hanft
Mary Isabel Hanft 88 of Simi Valley, California, passed away surrounded by family on November 11th, 2022. Isabel was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to William and Mary Tobin in 1934. She went to high school in Rhode Island and graduated in 1951. She worked as an Air Hostess for TWA for 3 years. After she moved to California and worked at several popular local restaurants as their Lead Hostess. She worked at the Marquardt Company for 12 years before retiring. She always enjoyed visiting with family and friends, reading, politics, crafts and shopping. She received numerous recognition awards for the high quality of her service and was involved is the Simi Valley Republican Women’s Club and volunteered her time as a docent at the Ronald Reagan Library.
Isabel is survived by her daughter, Liz Hanft-Watanabe (Bob) of Agoura Hills and her brother, William Tobin of Lincoln, Rhode Island. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Tobin and father William Tobin. The Funeral Mass will be held at St Jude the Apostle Church on Monday November 21st at 10:00 AM with Father Jim Stehly officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce Brothers Mortuary, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Buena Vista Hospice and the Staff and Caregivers at Select Senior Living in Thousand Oaks.
