Charlotte was a second mom to me. She was really the only other female adult influence in my early childhood. She was the kindest and most considerate human being I have ever known. As kind as she was as parent, she was just as tough as a businesswoman, and I always could rely on her for solid advice (and some admonishment) when I came to her. Nancy already noted the weekend of broken legs in the desert, but that was easily the first memory that came to mind.

Grief is the price for having loved. And I loved Charlotte. We were best of friends. She did have a heart of gold and was way too generous. We laughed together, traveled together, worked with Kiwanis together. I miss her tremendously. Having seen her in her last days, I know she is in a much better place. Our loss, God's gain.

I remember her beautiful smile! I remember coming over to spend the night at your house when we were in elementary school and her hollering from the top floor down to you if she needed something. “Laurie-Anne!” She rarely seemed to get upset (that I remember) and you told me she was “a softy”. So sorry for your loss

I’m so blessed to have had her as my auntie. She was truly the most loving, caring supportive lady. I will cherish all my wonderful memories of her and your dad. Charlotte did so much for our family. She fed us and was an amazing member of our family. Larry and Charlotte came out with us to the desert on the weekends and had a blast. I will never forget the time when Larry broke his leg riding and then Charlotte broke her leg falling out of the motorhome. I miss and love them both. I hope they are telling stories with my dad.
