Obituary of Ivone Lucia Mack

Ivone Lucia Mack, 71, of Simi Valley, California, passed away on October 1, 2023 in Thousand Oaks, California.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at St. John Eudes Church on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 12:00 pm.

Ivone was born in Chicago, Illinois to Artemio and Luz Fuentes on March 14, 1952. She went to Tuley High School in Chicago and graduated in 1970. She continued on to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from Northeastern University. For over 15 years, Ivone worked as a coordinator for the Art Department at California State University Northridge. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, live music, and adventuring to new places with loved ones. Ivone was devoted to keeping the residents of the Friendly Village Community healthy and donated much of her time to teaching water aerobics in the summers and chair aerobics in the winters.

Ivone is survived by her son, Alexander, of Long Beach; her siblings Fernando, Patricia, Orlando (Max), and Lisa; her nephews Richie, Tony, Eddie Jr., and Tristan; her nieces Katherine and Kara; her cousins Debbie, Deanna and many more she held dear to her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents Artemio and Luz; and her siblings Artemio, Maria, Hiriam, and Edgardo.
